Flyovers & Junction Improvements where work is completed - Chheda Nagar
The construction flyover bridge at Chhedanagar Junction on Eastern Express Highway was started through Budget provision of the State Government. While designing and fixing the alignment of this flyover, it was decided to give relief of the congestion of traffic at Chhedanagar Junction. This junction is heavily loaded due to regular traffic plying on Eastern Express Highway as well as containerized traffic of container yard on Chembur Mankhurd Link Road. It was planned to provide one way Mumbai bound flyover bridge on Chhedanagar Junction. After commencement of the construction work of flyover bridge " Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd.", was formed by the Government of Maharashtra and it was decided that all projects of the flyover bridges in Mumbai will be executed by M.S.R.D.C. Ltd. In view of this, after completion of some work of this flyover, it was handed over to Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. for further execution. This flyover bridge is one of the 55 flyovers mega project of State Government. The total expenditure on this project is RS. 13.90 crores. The said flyover will help to reduce the traffic congestion at Chhedanagar Junction on Eastern Express Highway.
